Visual identity for Experimentarium

Experimentarium is a center dedicated to exploring and creating new aproaches to play and learning. Based on Experimentariums' words of value, I created this proposal for a visual identity. The key words to my project were quirky and exploring - words chosen because of Experimentariums' way of exploring things from new angles and directions.

As to the identity, the logo is made from my key words of inspiration - it's quirky and has a set of arrows pointing in towards both positive and negative space, which makes it impossible for the eye to focus on both types of directions; directions which compliment the logo with life and movement.




The logotype is based on the same concept as written above; letters are rotated in order to make it seem playful and energetic. By working with only three letters the legibility is still intact and the logotype is fully readable.

The logo can be used in different directions according to which is best for the specific layout.



The information shown on the visit card is placed rotated in different directions - this is made in order to make the viewer flip the card, turn it, and explore it in different ways before understanding the information shown.
